“NO matter where you roam to live YOUR life, Santa’s naughty-or-nice list travels at the speed of reindeer! and Santa will always find you.”
Ho Ho Ho Sophie!
Santa has been keeping a very close eye on you this year — and for many years before that. Some children try to be good… others, like you, keep Santa’s elves entertained with nonstop adventure!
First things first: you are definitely on the NICE LIST this year. It was touch-and-go for a while (mainly because of the stairs incident count — Santa lost track after number 47), but your kindness, creativity, and that winning Book Week essay pulled you through.
Santa remembers the year you asked for a “pony pop horsey”. The elves searched high and low — we thought you’d invented a new species! Eventually we worked out you meant My Little Pony… and you’ve been galloping around with them ever since.
Speaking of friends, Lola sends her regards. She’s been a very loyal imaginary companion — though Santa notices she only appears when there’s mischief to blame on someone else!
The poncho phase was… memorable. You looked like a tiny colourful superhero every single day. Mrs. Claus even tried knitting one for herself, but gave up after the third tangle.
And basketball? Impressive hustle on the court! Though Santa suggests maybe wearing slightly less flowing ponchos during games next time.
All in all, Sophie, you bring joy, chaos, and a lot of laughter wherever you go. Keep being your wonderful, accident-prone, pony-loving, essay-winning self.
See you on Christmas Eve — I’ll try to land softly so you don’t hear me and come running down the stairs! I will also be extra quiet so you don't see me again......... (people still believe you!)
Love,
Santa Claus 🎅
Santa has reviewed your annual report very carefully this year, and here are the official North Pole findings:
🌏 Settling In Down Under: It’s your second full year in Australia now, and wow — you’re absolutely smashing it! New job, thriving like a pro, and building a life that suits you perfectly. Santa knows Christmas can bring a touch of homesickness (even elves get that sometimes), but look at everything you’ve gained: sunshine all year round, barbecues in December, and a fresh start that’s made you stronger and happier. Ireland will always be home in your heart, but Australia is treating you so well — and Santa thinks you’re exactly where you’re meant to be right now.
👩👩👧 Friendship Level: Expert: Your circle just keeps growing — work friends who threw you an epic birthday party, plus your own crew who threw you a second one! Double cake, double love. When you’re missing family, these new friends are stepping up big time — proof that you’ve built a real home away from home.
☀️ Weather Wizardry (and Why It’s a Win): Back in Ireland right now it’s dark by 4pm, rainy, and freezing. Here you are with summer Christmas, 25+ degrees, beach days, and your “winter” hitting a glorious 20°C. No scraping ice off the car, no endless grey skies — just vitamin D, outdoor life, and that incredible light that lifts everyone’s mood. Santa’s prescribing extra sunscreen instead of SAD lamps this year!
👭 Sibling Survival Medal: You spent THREE whole weeks with Mia… and both of you stayed off the Naughty List. Massive achievement! Mrs. Claus is already designing a special trophy (it’s shaped like two sisters hugging… with reinforced arms, just in case).
It’s a lovely reminder that family ties don’t snap, no matter how many oceans are in the way. And these days you’ve got FaceTime and WhatsApp — instant chats whenever you want! Back in Santa’s younger days it was a 30-second phone box call once a week (if you had the right coins), or waiting weeks for snail mail that usually arrived smelling of rain. You two have it easy… but don’t tell Mia I said that! 😏
Overall verdict: Sophie, yes, Christmas can feel bittersweet when you’re far from the old familiar places. But look at what you’ve created: a thriving job, amazing friends who celebrate you twice over, endless sunshine, and a lifestyle full of possibility. You’re not just coping — you’re flourishing. Ireland’s rain will always be there for visits, but right now Australia is giving you the space to shine brighter than ever.
Santa’s sending extra warm hugs this Christmas Eve (and maybe a little snow in the snowglobe just for nostalgia). You’ve got this.
🎁 Presents This Year:
Santa’s workshop is working hard on:
Delivery not guaranteed if stairs are left untidy on Christmas Eve! 🎄
Sophie doesn’t have official elves… but three cheeky ones moved to Australia with her anyway!
🦄 Pony-Pal:
The My Little Pony obsessed elf. Constantly galloping around with tiny ponies, organising rainbow mane competitions, and trying to convince the kangaroos to join the herd. Still searching for the legendary “pony pop horsey”.
🏀 Hoops-Hopper:
The basketball elf. Always dribbling on the beach, attempting slam dunks off koala backs, and wearing a tiny flowing poncho during games (because style > safety). Keeps score of Sophie’s wins — and near-misses on the court.
🤗 Sunny-Hugger:
The homesickness-fighting elf. Sends emergency hugs from Ireland via express kangaroo pouch, reminds everyone to put on sunscreen, and secretly sprinkles a little snow in the fridge for that Irish Christmas feeling. Favourite phrase: “You’ve got this, mate!”

Santa wants you to know something very special…
On Christmas Eve (or maybe the day before — Santa’s schedule is pretty full), sometime after 7:30pm (or possibly before), if I can find a quiet moment, I might give you a personal call. 📞
Here’s the thing: Mrs. Claus can be a little possessive and doesn’t always approve of me chatting with lovely young women. So if I do manage to ring you, please keep it just between us. Otherwise… divorce at the North Pole, half the Christmas magic gone, kids getting 50% fewer toys, half the elves suddenly unemployed and homeless in the snow… all because someone couldn’t keep a tiny secret. 😏
So seriously — DON’T TELL MRS. CLAUS.
If you can manage that one small favour, I’ll wave my magic snowglobe and put in a very special order: one wonderful boyfriend, delivered in 2026. Consider it my extra-special Christmas gift to you. 🎁❄️
(No guarantees on exact arrival date, but Santa’s magic has a pretty good track record!)
